Hoymiles HiBattery 4020 X – Smart 4 kWh Solar Storage with Integrated Inverter
The Hoymiles HiBattery 4020 X is the innovative all-in-one energy storage solution for modern balcony power plants and private solar systems. With an integrated storage capacity of 4.02 kWh, a powerful inverter, and up to 4 independent MPPT inputs, the system combines battery storage, energy management, and a PV inverter in a single device. Installation is particularly easy, allowing for a quick start to self-sufficiency with solar power.
Thanks to the integrated LiFePO4 battery technology (LFP), the HiBattery 4020 X offers maximum safety, a long service life, and a cycle stability of over 8,000 charge cycles. The storage capacity can be flexibly expanded up to 16.08 kWh, thus easily growing with your household's increasing energy needs.
With a maximum PV input power of 4,000 W (4 × 1,000 W MPPT) and a system efficiency of up to 96.5 %, the HiBattery 4020 X optimally utilizes every kilowatt-hour generated. Surplus solar power is stored and can be used in the evening and night hours, significantly increasing self-consumption and sustainably reducing electricity costs.
For maximum operational safety, the system features a multi-stage protection concept with 48 protection layers, intelligent battery management system (BMS), active cell balancing, self-heating function for winter operation, and an integrated fire protection solution. The robust housing with protection class IP66 also allows for reliable outdoor use.
A special highlight of the Hoymiles HiBattery 4020 X is the possibility of AC coupling existing solar systems and balcony power plants. In addition to the four integrated MPPT inputs, the system can also take in and store surplus energy from already installed PV systems or micro-inverters via the household grid. This makes the HiBattery 4020 X not only suitable for new installations but also ideal for retrofitting existing solar systems. Existing inverters can still be used, while surplus solar power is intelligently stored and made available when needed. This increases self-consumption, reduces feeding into the grid, and boosts the profitability of the entire solar system.
Integrated WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity enable convenient monitoring and control via the Hoymiles app. In combination with intelligent energy management and dynamic electricity tariffs, the HiBattery 4020 X can further optimize self-consumption and unlock additional savings potential.
